Meet Your Doula, Veronica BSN, RN
Education & Experience
I became a dedicated community member of San Luis Obispo County in August of 2023. I believe in the healing power of nature and cherish the opportunity to live on the beautiful California Central Coast.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Bakersfield. My journey in maternal health advocacy began with my career as a registered nurse, where I studied the impact of social support on maternal health outcomes. This experience inspired me to serve women in a more personal role, as a doula. The heart of my work is centered in the belief that well-supported mothers are the cornerstones of healthy communities.
To demonstrate commitment to my craft, I completed Doulas of North America International (DONA) approved trainings and am currently studying Lactation Consulting at UC San Diego. I have also been trained in Loss, Miscarriage and Abortion care by the Colorado Doula Project.
I lovingly acknowledge all postpartum experiences. It is an honor to warmly support you throughout your unique journey.
